FBI agent David Conner is investigating the Listeners, a channeling group that seems to have access to highly classified information regarding government technology. Conner is astonished to discover that the group's psychic power is real, and that he has fallen in love with one of the beautiful twins who are the power's focus. But the Listeners have tapped into an ancient, evil force that intends to remake first Conner and his friends, then all of mankind, in its own horrifying image.
